As this appearance spread, attention returned not only to Lee Je-hoon's wealth but also to his investment track record. He was mentioned in 2022 on a variety program as an angel investor in company M, which grew into a leading domestic unicorn. At that time, Lee Je-hoon was reported to have invested several hundred million won in the early stage, and the company drew industry attention by growing sales about 50-fold in four years after its launch, recording sales up to about 4 trillion won. Accordingly, it was speculated that Lee Je-hoon also made considerable investment returns.
Also in 2023, it became known that he became a building owner worth 6.87 billion won, attracting attention. OSEN reporting confirmed that Lee Je-hoon purchased a building from basement one to the third floor located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in November 2021 under the name of CompanyOn, the management company he represents. There was speculation that the building might be used as company offices.
However, in a recent April 2025 interview he drew a line with a laugh over the so-called "4 trillion-won wealth theory," saying, "I wish that were actually true." Lee Je-hoon said, "As I learned more, I came to see not only the domestic but also the overseas economic situation," and added that he "is diversifying investments with a long-term perspective, paying attention not only to developed countries but also to developing countries."
Amid the flashy investment record and wealth stories, his action of trying to buy padded jackets out of his own pocket for the students after the mission failure left a warm impression in this broadcast.
