The group KiiiKiii once again proved its musical achievements in the global market.
On the 16th, according to the British magazine DAZED's released 'The 30 best K-pop tracks of 2025', KiiiKiii (Jiyu, I-sol, Sui, Ha-eum, Kiya)'s 'DANCING ALONE' appeared on the list, proving its influence.
DAZED described KiiiKiii as "a hidden gem that recently delivered one of the most visually interesting debuts," and said, "the song 'DANCING ALONE' showcases their natural yet distinctive aesthetic and their approach to ordinary girls." It added, "playful yet subtly moving, this song unravels complex emotions such as girls' friendship, secrets, love and misunderstandings, delivering thrills, warmth and even heart-tugging feelings."
'DANCING ALONE,' the title track from KiiiKiii's first digital single album released last August, is a dance track that stylishly blends city pop and retro synth-pop moods, featuring an unhurried groove amid a fast tempo and a bright, straightforward melody that make it appealing.
The song delivers lively, refreshing energy while vividly depicting friendship and using frank lyrics that struck a chord with many listeners, reaching No. 3 on the Melon Hot 100 (based on 30 days after release), entering the iTunes top songs charts in six countries and regions — Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, France and Japan — and appearing on the iTunes top K-pop songs charts in six countries and regions — Japan, the U.K., Brazil, Turkey, Taiwan and Hong Kong — attracting attention at home and abroad.
DAZED's assessment can also be seen in the 'DANCING ALONE' music video. In the music video, KiiiKiii members drew various traces of friendship set against backgrounds such as school, riverside and bowling alley. Through tender everyday moments — wearing one earbud each, tying each other's hair and sharing ice cream — they evoked memories of friendships that anyone might have experienced, generating empathy across ages and nationalities and repeatedly appearing on YouTube's trending music video chart.
Moreover, KiiiKiii collaborated with producer Park Moon-chi to release an album that reinterpreted 'DANCING ALONE' with sounds from the 1990s to the present, presenting remixes of 'DANCING ALONE' in genres representative of each era, from 1990s R&B mood to future bass and EDM, taking on musical challenges.
KiiiKiii's challenges extended to various stages. After attending the 'Kansai Collection 2025 A/W' held at Kyocera Dome Osaka last August, they performed as the only K-pop girl group at 'Music Expo Live 2025' held at Tokyo Dome in November, gracing the pages of major local media and demonstrating global activities.
KiiiKiii expanded their influence beyond music into fashion, beauty, finance and dining industries. After serving as models for numerous brands and ranking No. 1 in rookie idol group brand reputation for four consecutive months, they took first place in the rookie girl idol category at the '2025 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards' and recently ranked No. 1 in rookie idol group brand reputation for December 2025, proving their enduring buzz.
At award shows held this year, KiiiKiii added to their dazzling achievements by winning seven rookie awards as well as the 'best performance' award. Recently, they were named one of the '10 rookie acts to watch in 2026' released by the U.S. magazine Stardust and appeared in Google's year-end data analysis project 'Year in Search' in the 'KPop Debuts' category as a 2025 global breakout search term, continually showcasing their presence.
KiiiKiii will take the stage at the 2025 Melon Music Awards (MMA2025) to be held at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome on the 20th.
