'The Great Guide 2.5–Daedan Guide' Radungi experienced Laos' culture up close.
On the 8th episode of MBC Every1's 'The Great Guide 2.5–Daedan Guide,' which aired on the 16th, Radungi members Kim Dae-ho, Choi Daniel, Jeon So-min, Park Ji-min, Radungi members Kim Dae-ho, Choi Daniel, Jeon So-min, Park Ji-min were shown fully experiencing Laos' daily life and culture, from playing in the Blue Lagoon to taking part in the takbat. Their travelogue, filled with laughter, shocks and a deep aftertaste, captivated viewers' attention.
That day, the Radungi arrived at the secret lagoon, located deepest among Vang Vieng's Blue Lagoons and known for being the most nature-friendly, and enjoyed playing in the water. Park Ji-min, the announcer chosen by Radungi as the one who dresses the worst, found that her green swimwear was not a problem at all in front of the Blue Lagoon's emerald lake.
Even Choi Daniel, who had been water-phobic, jumped into the water and enjoyed playing, and Park Ji-min said she felt like she had become free without having to submit a resignation, expressing the satisfaction of a working person enjoying a vacation. Kim Dae-ho, while revealing longing for a married friend who had previously visited the Blue Lagoon with him, was happy about the new memories he made with the Radungi. At first, Park Ji-min, who awkwardly said, "Me playing in the water with senior Dae-ho?", let go of everything and enjoyed the water play.
Next, Choi Daniel led them to a shop where they could get shampoo massages and ear cleaning. Kim Dae-ho, who had been itchy because he couldn't wash his hair due to a conrow hairstyle, immediately entrusted his hair to the customized course. Under the hands of the Laotian shampoo massage therapist who washed hair and washed faces, Kim Dae-ho and Park Ji-min defenselessly revealed their bare faces and tasted a new world.
Choi Daniel and Jeon So-min experienced ear cleaning. When a large earwax came out of Jeon So-min's ear, Kim Dae-ho, watching it, worried, "It must be hard to act." In response to Jeon So-min's "I'll take responsibility," the production team replaced her earwax with popcorn CGI, drawing laughter. Choi Daniel underwent even bigger surgery than Jeon So-min. Amid everyone's concern, the procession of large earwax that came out of Choi Daniel's ear shocked everyone. Choi Daniel himself was surprised, saying, "Did that really come from my ear?"
The next morning, they embarked on a takbat cultural experience, which takes place every morning in the Buddhist country of Laos. Takbat is a ritual in which monks who cultivate the way hold alms bowls and receive offerings; it is a ceremony in which monks rely on others' compassion for everything and practice non-attachment and non-possession.
Like the Laotian people, the Radungi went out onto the streets from dawn carrying offerings and showed an unprecedentedly reverent demeanor as they experienced takbat. Imujin said about Kim Dae-ho and Choi Daniel's serious appearances, "I've never seen the hyungs so serious," to the point of remarking. After the takbat experience, Kim Dae-ho said, "I was overwhelmed. This was a first-time experience," and recommended, "If you go to Laos, be sure to try the takbat experience," piquing viewers' curiosity.
'Da Guide' Choi Daniel's final itinerary for the Laos trip was camping. But reaching the campsite meant a challenging journey of crossing mountains and waters. The course was so arduous that even the self-proclaimed camping maniac Kim Dae-ho said, "This is a bit much," but the moment everyone saw the scenery of the campsite Choi Daniel revealed, their expressions changed.
The campsite Choi Daniel prepared was a place where you could enjoy clouds beneath your feet from a high elevation and was called an "unkangs matjip" (a popular spot for lucky vacations). Whether the Radungi would arrive safely at the campsite and be able to witness the spectacle-like fog, the final moment of the Laos trip drew attention.
