Actor Jo Yeo-jeong is said to have become the owner of The Penthouse at BRIGHTEN Hannam, a newly built luxury mixed-use complex in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
On the 17th, a review of court registry records showed that Jo signed a sales contract in Mar. 2022 for one unit of The Penthouse with an exclusive area of 110㎡ at BRIGHTEN Hannam in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. BRIGHTEN Hannam is a new complex where full-scale move-ins began late last year.
Jo paid the full purchase price in late Nov. this year and completed the ownership transfer registration. In particular, given that no maximum mortgage was registered on the dwellings' registry, it appears the entire amount—about 4 billion won—was paid in cash without a separate loan.
According to the real estate industry, while the transaction amount is not specified in the registry, the sale price for the same type that Jo purchased is said to be set in the 4 billion won range.
BRIGHTEN Hannam, chosen by Jo Yeo-jeong, spans eight basement levels to 16 above ground and is a high-end residential facility comprising a total of 142 units, including 121 officetel units with exclusive areas of 51–84㎡ and 21 apartment dwellings with exclusive areas of 103–117㎡. After receiving its completion permit in late Oct. last year, the move-in process has continued through recently.
