Group I.O.I alumnus and actress Kim So-hye collapsed after giving a passionate performance.
On the 17th, Kim Hye-eun posted several photos, saying, "Our first performance is tomorrow. We were rehearsing when senior, please wait a moment. So-hye felt dizzy while giving an intense performance and briefly lay down."
In the released photos, Kim So-hye is rehearsing for the play "Geuttaedo Oneul 2: Kkotshin." "Geuttaedo Oneul 2: Kkotshin" is a new work following "Geuttaedo Oneul," which was greatly loved since its premiere in early 2022, and is being cited as an anticipated year-end play. The previous work, which portrayed the lives of "ordinary people in history" with its distinctive dialect-based flavor and the close chemistry of the two actors, received critical and audience acclaim, recording a ticketing site rating of 9.8 at its premiere.
With Kim Hye-eun and Kim So-hye among the cast alongside Lee Ji-hae, Lee Sang-hee, Hong Ji-hee, and Ahn So-hee, Kim Hye-eun spent rehearsal time with Kim So-hye. With the performance one day away, Kim So-hye, who was devoting herself to rehearsals, felt dizzy and briefly lay down. Kim So-hye showed a gaunt face that suggested she had lost weight from rehearsals and intense acting, raising concern. However, since she joked while taking photos with Kim Hye-eun, it appears there is no need for major concern.
Kim Hye-eun said, "If this happened during any scene, you will truly fall for the charm of actress Kim So-hye that you have never seen before. Please look forward to our chemistry."
Meanwhile, the play "Geuttaedo Oneul 2: Kkotshin" will run at NOL Seogyeong Square Scon Theater 2 through Feb. 22, 2026.
