'Radio Star' will feature actor Lee Pil-mo, who comically reviews the filmography he has built up over the years. Once called a ratings guarantor, he reveals a laughable worry that a 'big catch' like himself is on the free agent market but no one knows about it, while also showcasing a "face gag" to make his self-promotion clear and draw attention.
MBC's 'Radio Star', airing tonight (17th) Wednesday night (executive producer Kang Young-seon / directors Yoon Hye-jin, Hwang Yoon-sang, Byun Da-hee), is presented as a "Please take care of the filmography" special featuring Kim Tae-won (Kim Tae-won), Lee Pil-mo, Kim Yong-myung and Shim Ja-yoon.
Lee Pil-mo, who left major home theater hits including 'Solyakgukjip Adeuldeul', which surpassed a peak rating of 40%, as well as 'Myeoneuri Jeonseongsidae' and 'You Are My Destiny', vividly recounts the atmosphere of the days when his ratings were praised. MCs immediately react to his joking remark, "Back then the drama director general was on standby," and laughter spreads through the studio.
Episodes about how he spared no effort for roles continue. Recently, when he appeared as the eldest brother 'Oh Jang-soo' in 'For Eagle Brothers', he shared casting behind-the-scenes in which he volunteered as a self-rescue pitcher, and he revealed an unforgettable, hair-trigger episode from his unknown days when his appearance on 'Dae Jang Geum' embarrassed leading actors Lee Young-ae and Ji Jin-hee, bringing unexpected laughter.
Lee Pil-mo also talks about how his mindset changed after becoming the father of two children. In particular, he talks about the changed daily life after marrying his wife Seo Su-yeon and relentlessly reveals secrets the 'Taste of Love' producers did not know when the two first met, letting his verbal charm run wild.
Lee Pil-mo's variety talent peaks in his face gags. Showing 'face gags' that instantly turn Yoo Se-yoon into a 'proboscis monkey' and immediately flood the set with laughter, he also reveals an episode about being called 'Chow Yun-fat' during his Seoul Institute of the Arts days, delivering a "twist laugh" with the "real-life handsome man" anecdote.
Also revealed are behind-the-scenes of filming with Kim So-yeon, with whom he shared scenes in 'Gahwamansaseong'. While filming the drama 'Gahwamansaseong', which produced the Kim So-yeon and Lee Sang-woo couple, Lee Pil-mo said he unexpectedly got a "backhand" and made the MCs and cast burst into laughter.
From the days when he was a ratings guarantor to his current worries, Lee Pil-mo's filmography review told with laughter can be seen on 'Radio Star', airing tonight (17th) Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.<
