The KBS 1TV documentary 'Dasi Seoda, The Miracle,' narrated by actress Im YoonA and drawing attention, captures an unexpected incident during rehearsal of wheelchair dancer Chae Su-min's day-long weathercaster role for KBS 'News9' after she rose above lower-body paralysis.
On the 17th at 10 p.m., the episode of 'Dasi Seoda, The Miracle' airing on KBS 1TV shows wheelchair dancer Chae Su-min, who challenged herself as a daily weathercaster for International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Dec. 3, facing a crisis. Because she has lower-body paralysis with no sensation below the chest, even inhaling has limits, making this a major challenge for her. Chae Su-min explains her physical condition, saying, "It is difficult to exhale for a long time, so my lung capacity is limited. (My voice) doesn't come out that much." Moreover, on the day of the broadcast she had to wear a state-of-the-art wearable device and stand to deliver the weather, which made the tension even greater.
Arriving at the KBS 'News9' studio for rehearsal, Chae Su-min's eyes lit up at weathercaster Kang A-rang's skillful demonstration. Wearing the state-of-the-art wearable device amid nervousness and with people's help, Chae Su-min stood on her own for the first time in a while and, while saying, "I don't feel sensation," she cautiously took a step forward.
But shortly afterward, Chae Su-min's urgent cry of "Wait a moment!" rang through the studio. Whether she succeeded in standing alone to deliver the weather and the scene that surprised narrator Im YoonA will be revealed in the broadcast.
The KBS special documentary 'Dasi Seoda, The Miracle,' which chronicles wheelchair dancer Chae Su-min's challenge of taking a step toward the world and adds warm support voiced by Im YoonA, will air on the 17th (Wednesday) at 10 p.m. on KBS 1TV.
