tvN Reply 1988 is releasing an original soundtrack following a variety show to commemorate the 10th anniversary.
The Reply 1988 OST is considered one of the most beloved OSTs among the "Reply" series by listeners. As it is being produced to mark the 10th anniversary of the broadcast, the OST released at the time has been rearranged into new versions. In particular, this OST is especially meaningful because, instead of recruiting new vocalists, the cast members themselves are participating in the vocals to celebrate the 10th anniversary.
On the 19th actor Park Bo-gum's solo song Part 1 will be released, followed by Part 2 on the 26th featuring two songs sung respectively by The Wild Dogs (Lee Il-hwa·Ra Mi-ran·Kim Sun-young) and the Ssangmundong children (Ryu Hye-young·Hye-ri·Ko Kyung-pyo·Ryu Jun-yeol·Park Bo-gum·Ahn Jae-hong·Lee Dong-hwi·Choi Seong-won).
Director Shin Won-ho has planned numerous drama OSTs, including the "Reply" and "Seulgi-roun" series, producing many hit songs. He said, "We prepared this OST hoping it will be a gift for the fans who have loved the drama over the past 10 years."
OST producer Ma Joo-hee also said, "You will meet the emotion that only actors who have built the narrative together as characters can deliver," adding, "Just as hearing the OSTs from that time naturally brings the drama to mind, the 'Reply 1988 10th anniversary' OST is also composed of songs that summon memories deeply kept in our hearts."
Meanwhile, the "Reply 1988 10th anniversary" variety show will premiere on tvN on the 19th, and OST Part 1 will be released the same day at 6 p.m. on various music streaming sites.
