Comedian Park Na-rae's drinking injections and Lee Young-ja's startled reaction are being revisited.
In 2015 Lee Young-ja was shocked by her junior Park Na-rae's confession of an on-air taboo injection.
On Nov. 10, 2015, on the tvN talk show "Taxi," when asked about a shocking past, Park Na-rae began, This can't be broadcast. I've been telling people about this, but no one wanted to use it.
She continued, There is a drinking injection... but on the broadcast only bleeping was heard. Lee Young-ja was left speechless and Solbi burst out laughing.
Lee Young-ja barely regained her composure, saying, Are you out of your mind? Park Na-rae asked, Please let it be as if it never happened.
Currently, as Park Na-rae faces allegations related to alcohol along with accusations of power abuse against a former manager and alleged illegal medical practices, those remarks and that situation are being mentioned again.
Park Na-rae's former managers alleged workplace harassment and verbal abuse during employment, forced drinking at gatherings, special injury, errands for proxy prescriptions, unpaid hosting fees and other damages, and on the 3rd filed an application for provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court. They also warned of a lawsuit seeking about 100 million won in damages. The former managers claimed, They were verbally abused for not drinking, and were once hit by a thrown glass and injured. In response, Park Na-rae countersued those managers on extortion charges and entered a legal battle.
It was also alleged that Park Na-rae received medical procedures in places other than hospitals from a person known as the so-called "injection aunt." Park Na-rae's legal representative rebutted, saying, It was a legitimate house-call form of medical service and there is nothing legally problematic, but the controversy has not easily died down.
Ultimately, on the 8th Park Na-rae announced, I will suspend broadcast activities until everything is neatly resolved, and accordingly she withdrew from MBC's I Live Alone, Rescue Me Homes, and tvN's Amazing Saturday.
