The accusation case related to comedian Park Narae, who is suspected of illegal procedures through 'Jusaimo,' has been transferred from the prosecution to the police. As the investigation authority has moved to the police, attention is focused on whether investigations into various allegations surrounding Park Narae will intensify, and online communities are mentioning celebrities who avoided 'Narae bar,' which Park Narae had invited acquaintances to.
Amid unresolved allegations of power abuse and illegal medical activities surrounding Park Narae, she recently halted all broadcasting activities and withdrew from MBC I Live Alone, I Need You! Homes, and tvN Amazing Saturday. The web entertainment show Narae-sik and the new variety show I Am Also Excited were also completely canceled.
On the 15th, the Seoul police chief said at a regular press briefing, "There are five cases filed against Park Narae and one case filed by Park Narae," and added, "Investigations of complainants and accusers have not been sufficiently conducted. We will conduct a strict investigation according to future procedures."
Meanwhile, online communities are refocusing attention on past videos and remarks about 'Narae bar,' which was Park Narae's signature content. In particular, celebrities whom Park Narae had mentioned wanting to invite to 'Narae bar' on various past broadcasts are becoming a hot topic.
On the May 2018 broadcast of MBC Section TV Entertainment Relay, when asked, "Is there a star you would like to invite to Narae bar?" Park Narae mentioned Park Bo-gum and Jung Haein, saying, "I was disappointed I couldn't get their contact information," and, "I conveyed the invitation intent," which drew laughter. At the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards that same year, Park Narae also mentioned Jung Haein onstage, saying, "Today is a good day to recruit a Narae bar VIP member."
As the controversy grows, those videos are resurfacing online and reactions continue such as, "In the end they avoided it well," "Looking at it now, the feeling is somehow different," and, "At the time we laughed it off, but the atmosphere has completely changed."
As investigations into not only the Park Narae 'Jusaimo' matter but various controversies enter a full-scale phase, the controversy surrounding Park Narae is spreading beyond simple entertainment industry issues to legal judgments and public trust.
