On Thursday the 18th, MBC's Save Me! Homes (directed by Jung Da-hee, Nam Yoo-jeong, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Seong-nyeon; hereafter "Homes") will air the second part of Save Me! Global Homes — Shanghai edition.
This episode, the second part of Save Me! Global Homes — Shanghai edition, which examines the market prices of various foreign homes, continues from last week with Kim Sook, chef Jung Ji-seon and travel creator Captain Ddageo. This global field report is the first installment of the Asia mega-city series, drawing attention by introducing Shanghai's latest real estate information and a wide range of continent-scale listings.
On the second morning in Shanghai, the three begin filming from 6:30 a.m. Kim Sook begins another hectic day to attend the wedding of her ex(?) husband Yoon Jeong-soo. Chef Jung Ji-seon, who confessed that he "almost couldn't sleep," boosts his energy by enjoying jianbing (Chinese-style savory pancake), despite what he said. To hurry the filming, Kim Sook is given jianbing by him, who says, "It's a routine when you come to China~."
Kim Sook introduces the second day of the Shanghai field report, saying, "We will look around the homes of young people who left their hometowns and settled in Shanghai. Please look forward to seeing what kinds of homes the youths chasing the Shanghai dream live in."
Before the main field report, the three decide to experience China's developed breakfast culture. Among the shops selling breakfast throughout the streets, the three order baozi (steamed buns). Chef Jung Ji-seon, quietly scanning the menu, says that when in China you should eat twisted doughnuts and warm soybean milk, and elicits laughter by placing an additional order in fluent Chinese.
When Captain Ddageo says he wants a soup dish for breakfast, the three go into a wonton shop and start the third breakfast. During the meal, they meet a local international student who volunteers to be a fan of Captain Ddageo, and through an interview they take a look into the daily lives of Shanghai's international students.
When the student reveals they are majoring in archaeology and museology at Fudan University, Captain Ddageo introduces Fudan University as "the best university in Shanghai," and engages in an unseen rivalry with Tsinghua University, which he said he attended. When Kim Sook says, "Captain Ddageo is an alumnus of President Xi Jinping's school," the student introduces, "Cha Eun-woo's younger sibling is an alumnus of Fudan University." In response, Captain Ddageo and Kim Sook say, "We have to acknowledge Cha Eun-woo's younger sibling," drawing attention.
With the help of the international student, the three visit the share house where the student lives. They introduce that you can check room information by the numbers and QR codes attached to each room. The shared living room and kitchen had individual items such as detergent and dishes, and even the bathroom trash cans were used separately, increasing curiosity about the reason.
The second part of Save Me! Global Homes — Shanghai edition will be revealed on Thursday the 18th at 10 p.m. on MBC's Save Me! Homes.<
