Actor Im Yoon-a narrates the KBS 1TV documentary "Dasi Seoda, The Miracle," which has drawn attention, in which wheelchair dancer Chae Su-min, who became paraplegic but did not give up dancing, and her father recall the time of the accident.
On the 17th at 10 p.m. on KBS 1TV, "Dasi Seoda, The Miracle" features wheelchair dancer Chae Su-min confessing, "From the center of my chest down, my lower body is completely paralyzed. I cannot feel my abdomen or internal organs," about her condition. Chae Su-min's father recalls the horrific memory of the day of the accident, saying, "(That day) my wife got a phone call. Isn't it like a bolt from the blue? I prayed that she would just be alive." Chae Su-min reflected on her father who cared for her immediately after the accident, saying, "I was really sensitive. I was in pain, and the pain was severe. He nursed me for everything from eating to bowel movements, which is not an easy task."
Chae Su-min, who was also a student of Ri.hey, the dancer famous from "Street Woman Fighter," continues to pursue dance after the accident and is active in various fields such as wheelchair dance sport and musical theater. She said, "I danced before using a wheelchair, but I am grateful that I can perform even after using one. I am accomplishing more activities than my level of disability would suggest."
In "Dasi Seoda, The Miracle," the program covers the offer Chae Su-min received to serve as the daily weather caster for KBS "News 9" in observance of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Dec. 3. Wheelchair users refrain from going out when it rains or snows for fear that their wheelchair will slip and cause an accident. Because this role delivers the most important weather information to wheelchair users, it was an especially meaningful challenge. Wearing a state-of-the-art wearable robot and "standing up" to deliver the weather to viewers, Chae Su-min. The sweat, passion and hidden stories behind the broadcast will be revealed in the main broadcast of "Dasi Seoda, The Miracle."
