The episode of Channel A 'Close Friend Tokumentary - Table for Four' (hereinafter Table for Four) that aired on the 15th featured Ko Jun, who appeared and invited close friends actor Jo Jae-yoon and comedian Lee Sang-jun.
Ko Jun said he suffered full-body burns as a child and had difficulty adapting to society. Due to the full-body burns, people threw stones at him and even pointed at him calling him a "monster." Ko Jun confessed that while attending kindergarten he caused trouble by pulling a friend's hair. Ko Jun added, "When I opened my fist, hair would fall out."
Having spent such a difficult childhood, Ko Jun said he wandered until high school. Ko Jun said, "When a teacher asked me what I wanted to do, I said I wanted to draw. So I drew during class. Throughout my school years. I had no dreams. When I said I wanted to draw, my parents opposed it. I wandered again and ran away from home," he said.
He continued, "After running away, I happened to see a banner for Chung-Ang University graduation performances. I went to the school because they were doing a musical. Opening the theater door felt exactly like entering a cathedral," he said.
Ko Jun said, "All the audience watched the actors' performances and laughed, cried and got angry. I didn't even watch the whole performance. I came out in the middle and thought, 'This is my path.' I ended my run away and went home. I had run away for about two weeks. I said I wanted to act. My parents didn't oppose because they feared I might leave again. I prepared three months before the entrance exam and was lucky to get into Seoul Institute of the Arts."
