World-renowned pain medicine specialist An Gang will appear on "The Millionaire Next Door."

An Gang, who also serves as an adviser to the World Institute of Pain, first became known to the public in 2007 when he was selected as the subject of EBS' Myeongui episode on chronic pain. His reputation is well established overseas as well as in Korea. In particular, word of mouth has brought Middle Eastern royals, including Qatari princesses, high-ranking officials and businessmen to seek his care. Unexpectedly, however, he revealed that his starting point was "a prison in Libya," raising questions. The legend of the "K-doctor" An Gang, who attracted the attention of the Middle Eastern medical community, and the beginnings and twists of his life will be revealed in detail on "The Millionaire Next Door."
Meanwhile, this shoot took place at An Gang's hospital building in Seocho District, Seoul. Seo Jang-hoon, a "basketball legend" who carried many injuries during his playing days, recalled the hardships at the time, saying, "I weigh a lot, but basketball requires you to keep jumping, doesn't it?" He went on to confess his current physical condition, saying, "After I retired and had photos taken, I saw that the cartilage in both knees had worn away. Even now, when I run or walk for a long time, I can feel the bones in my knees hitting each other."
At that point, An Gang, the "master of pain treatment," provided urgent treatment on the spot and delivered a shocking diagnosis: "Something other than the knees is more problematic," creating tension.
In addition, the episode will reveal An Gang's mansion in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, one of Korea's representative affluent neighborhoods. The distinctive structure of the residence, in which his mother, An Gang and his spouse, two daughters and two sons studying abroad each have their own independent living spaces and live "separately but together," is expected to draw viewers' attention.
The story that includes the success secret of An Gang, the "K-doctor who mesmerized the Middle East," and Seo Jang-hoon's urgent physical diagnosis results can be seen on Wednesday the 17th at 9:55 p.m. on EBS' Seo Jang-hoon's The Millionaire Next Door.
