Actor Seo Hyun-chul joins tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Undercover Miss Hong' (directed by Park Seon-ho / written by Moon Hyun-kyung / planned by Studio Dragon / produced by Celltrion Entertainment·Studio Dragon).
The Jan. 17 premiere at 9:10 p.m., 'Undercover Miss Hong' is a retro office comedy drama set at the turn of the 1990s, about 30-year-old elite securities regulator Hong Geum-bo (Park Shin-hye) who goes undercover as a 20-year-old junior employee to follow suspicious money flows, leading to a series of chaotic events.
Seo Hyun-chul plays So Kyung-dong, the legendary trader of the securities world and head of the trading department at Hanmin Securities. He is a character who, despite thorough analysis and caution, has bold decisiveness; he is the epitome of a 'good person' admired and envied by juniors and a core character who gives the drama a weighty presence. In particular, So Kyung-dong, having earned the trust of Chairman Kang Pil-beom (Lee Deok-hwa), acts as the central axis of Hanmin Securities and serves as an important link in the development of events in the drama.
Seo Hyun-chul, who has shown excellent acting skills and the ability to inhabit deep characters in numerous works, is expected to raise the drama's completeness with realistic acting that vividly captures the atmosphere of the 1990s securities world and his distinctive humanity in this project.
Seo Hyun-chul said, "I am honored to be able to work with great actors on a good project. Please give it lots of interest and love, and I will do my best to repay with my acting so as not to bring shame to the work."
The production team said, "Actor Seo Hyun-chul is a powerful actor who stably holds the tone and rhythm of the piece. He is the perfect casting to simultaneously express So Kyung-dong's charisma and warmth," adding, "The 'legendary trader' of the retro securities world that Seo Hyun-chul will portray will receive fresh attention."
