"My heart grown from the soil / flies high toward the wide world." A commercial jingle that borrowed a verse of poetry that moved many people will be released as an official track at 12 p.m. on the 16th. It is a song titled 'To the one who will shine the brightest' sung by the group ILLIT.
According to HYBE Music Group label Belift Lab Inc., 'To the one who will shine the brightest' was produced as the advertising music for MegaStudyEdu's '2027 MegaPass,' for which ILLIT (Yoon-a, Min-joo, Moca, Won-hee, Iroha) serve as exclusive models. Although there were no initial plans to release the track, fans flooded requests after the music video was released with the advertisement last month.
This song, a pop ballad, delivers warm consolation and hope by setting as its lyrics phrases used historically for handwriting verification of college entrance exam takers such as 'my heart grown from the soil, sky-blue' (2006, 2017) and 'we possessed the great sea, the wide sky' (2018). ILLIT's clear, pure vocal color combined with the lyrical melody amplified the song's emotion, earning favorable responses from music fans as well as exam takers.
ILLIT has come together to participate in supporting youth through this release. All revenue from 'To the one who will shine the brightest' will be donated to The Blue Tree Foundation, an organization specializing in youth. The donations will be used to provide education and counseling support for youth suffering from school violence.
MegaStudyEdu said, "'To the one who will shine the brightest' is both a campaign song to give strength to exam takers and a song that we hope will brighten the future of young people. We hope many people listen to this music in their daily lives and gain encouragement and consolation."
Meanwhile, ILLIT will grace year-end stages across Korea and Japan. On the 19th, Min-joo will appear as an MC on KBS2's 'Gayo Daechukje,' and the members will perform as a full group on the 20th at '2025 Melon Music Awards (The 17th Melon Music Awards)' and on the 25th at '2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon.' They will then meet global fans on the 30th at TBS's 'The 67th Record Awards — Shining! Japan Record Awards' and on the 31st at NHK's 'The 76th Kouhaku Uta Gassen.'
