Comedian Park Na-rae's manager abuse allegations have surfaced, and actress Han Chae-young's warm relationship with her manager is being reexamined. In a past broadcast, Han Chae-young treated her manager not as a mere work partner but as a "family-like presence," showing deep trust and affection that drew attention.
On the July 2021 broadcast of MBC's Omniscient Interfering View, the daily life of Lee Joong-hee, Han Chae-young's manager who had been with her for five years by count, was revealed. That day the manager naturally entered Han Chae-young's home, inspected the kitchen, and explained why she pays attention to health management, saying, "You can tell what someone ate by looking at the kitchen."
The manager said, "When filming starts you have to quickly lose weight, so your body can suffer. I tend to check her eating habits," and added, "When she's into snacks she buys two boxes at once, and the refrigerator is full of high-calorie drinks like cola and lattes. She gained 7 to 8kg before a drama and even reported it to the production team," which drew laughter.
Afterward, Han Chae-young started the morning with sweet coffee, and the manager encouraged exercise, saying, "You have to run in the morning." Sweating on the treadmill, Han Chae-young sat on a piece of furniture and when it sank she showed a flustered expression, saying, "Proof that I gained weight," which added to the humor.
Han Chae-young prepared breakfast herself for the manager, but her clumsy cooking skills were revealed, bringing more laughter. The manager defended her, saying, "She also makes boiled pork and things like that. It's not that she can't do it," showing his solid support.
After filming, Han Chae-young visited the manager's recently moved-to home. Seeing the neat house, Han Chae-young admired it, and the manager revealed, "You bought everything—curtains, hangers, the mattress, the storage cabinet. You even found the house for me." He added, "When it was so hard that I was going to go down to Daegu, you held me back saying, 'You're going to do well, why would you give up?'" and showed tears.
Han Chae-young expressed deep trust, saying, "When you do this work, there are times you get confused about who is on your side. The manager is truly on my side."
