Singer Jvcki Wai accused music producer and former partner Vangdale of dating violence, and her agency is checking the details.
On the 15th, a representative of Jvcki Wai's agency AOMG told OSEN, "We have been monitoring Jvcki Wai's recent social media post. However, we are still verifying the specific facts," the representative said cautiously.
On the 12th, Jvcki Wai posted on her personal social media a message exposing dating violence by her former partner. In particular, she shocked the public by posting photos showing her face and body bruised from assault.
In relation to this, Jvcki Wai said, "I couldn't go out for two weeks," and "Earlier, for an hour I knocked on the house door and pressed the passcode and on the day I was beaten I couldn't leave his house. To break up completely there was no other way. After I posted it he hasn't contacted me," saying she had no choice but to expose the dating violence for a safe breakup.
She also released what appeared to be emails and voice messages from the alleged attacker. In the process, Vangdale posted messages on social media cursing and claiming his innocence, which identified his identity.
Jvcki Wai and Vangdale collaborated on Jvcki Wai's full-length album "몰락" released in July. Vangdale produced the entire album, and earlier in February the two released the collaborative single "Spoil U."
However, in a social media rebuttal Vangdale denied the dating violence allegations, saying, "You're making someone look like a monster using a photo of someone who got hurt while trying to stop a rampage."
Jvcki Wai also emphasized that there was confinement and a threat with a weapon, and said she informed his agency and received an apology, but regretted softening and taking him back.
Jvcki Wai was active in the underground scene and made her formal debut in 2016 by releasing her first EP "EXPOSURE" as a full album. She is currently an artist under AOMG. Vangdale is a producer affiliated with KC, founded by rapper Sik-K.
