The film Heartman (director Choi Won-seop, distributor: Lotte Entertainment, production: Movierock, Like M Company) is a comedy about Seungmin (Kwon Sang Woo), a man who has returned and struggles to hold on to a first love he meets again, but a secret he can never tell her arises and leads to ensuing events.
Director Choi Won-seop of the Hitman series and Kwon Sang Woo have joined forces for the first comedy of 2026, Heartman, and released two main posters. The posters, whose mere sight lifts the mood, highlight the pleasing combination of actors and foreshadow a special ensemble featuring Kwon Sang Woo, Moon Chae-won, Park Ji-hwan and Pyo Ji-hoon. The phrase "Why is love coming back now?" represents Seungmin, the "Heartman" who carries a Secret: Untold Melody, and hints at the bittersweet comedic situations the film will unfold.
Meanwhile, Heartman has surged as a 2026 title to watch after releasing a teaser poster and trailer. Heartman is Movierock's 2026 film; the production company has presented feel-good films such as Midnight Runners, Pilot and Sweet & Sour: 7510. Director Choi Won-seop, who became a reliable comedy director with the Hitman series, is expected to bring laughter and open a joyful start to 2026, the year of the red horse. It is scheduled to open in theaters on Wed., Jan. 14 next year.
