On the 15th episode of Channel A 'Close friends to-kyumentary - Table for four' (hereinafter Table for four), Go Jun appeared and invited his close friends, actor Jo Jae-yoon and comedian Lee Sang-joon.
Go Jun said, "Now that I am an adult, I have overcome the wounds. I don't remember, but before I was even one year old I was a burn patient. Full-body burns. My mother was heating milk in a coffee pot, and while she stepped away for a moment I pulled the electric cord. Because I was short, fortunately I only suffered burns on my arms and abdomen," saying he experienced a major accident at a young age.
Go Jun said, "It seems I collapsed and got burned. Because I was a baby it was full-body burns. From kindergarten you meet other people, right? I remember being teased a lot. 'You are a monster. Why are you different from us. You're an alien,' I remember being called that. I was even pelted with stones. I had to protect myself," saying he went through a difficult time.
Worried that his mother might have felt severe guilt, Go Jun said, "Even when I tell her that thanks to that I became a great actor, she wipes away tears. She doesn't need to worry at all. If it hadn't been for my mother, I wouldn't be like this," he said.
Go Jun said, "Because I was a burn patient, I worried a lot that people might dislike me. I couldn't overcome the trauma and went to the hospital. I was going to try surgery. A girl of about 5 years old came wearing a white dress and a wide-brimmed hat. The child went to throw something in the trash can, and as the hat brim touched the trash can the hat came off. Because of the full-body burns she had very little hair. Seeing that I thought, 'My scars are so small compared to that child,' and at that moment my thinking changed. It might sound harsh," he added.
