Kim Sook, Kim Young-hee, Kim Jong-min, Park Bo-gum, Boom, Lee Chan-won and Jun Hyun-moo will compete for the grand prize trophy at the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards.
On the 15th, the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards released the seven nominees for the grand prize. Kim Sook, Kim Young-hee, Kim Jong-min, Park Bo-gum, Boom, Lee Chan-won and Jun Hyun-moo were named as grand prize nominees, raising expectations for the awards ceremony that will choose the top figures who led KBS entertainment this year.
First, Kim Sook has demonstrated exceptional wit and entertainment skills by working across the board with long-running programs such as the boss has donkey ears, Problem Child in House, as well as the new-concept delivery talk shows Baedalwasseuda and Pursuing Old Encounters. Kim Jong-min, a living proof of 2 Days & 1 Night who has been responsible for Sunday night living rooms for 18 years, has won group grand prizes at the KBS Entertainment Awards in 2011 and 2023 with the 2 Days & 1 Night season 1 and season 4 teams, and an individual grand prize in 2016. Currently anchoring 2 Days & 1 Night season 4 and The Return of SUPERMAN as an MC, Kim Jong-min is firmly maintaining one pillar of KBS entertainment, drawing attention to whether he can write the record of four grand prizes.
Park Bo-gum, as the longest-serving MC in The Seasons and the first actor MC on the music talk show The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile, created a space for musical communication with various artists through sweet yet dignified hosting. He also hosted MUSIC BANK from May 2015 to June 2016, and has been at the MC seat for the MUSIC BANK world tour held in 10 countries since 2017, sharing a decade of history in KBS music programs. He previously won the rookie award as a MUSIC BANK MC at the 2015 KBS Entertainment Awards, and now returns as a grand prize nominee after 10 years.
Boom has led stable hosting of Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant for more than four years, and on Heart on Wheels he played the role of mood maker with the seasoned skill and friendly charm of a veteran. Following his 2023 KBS Entertainment Awards producer special award, he announced a leap forward by becoming a grand prize nominee for the first time.
Lee Chan-won solidified his status as a trendsetting entertainer by winning the grand prize at the 2024 KBS Entertainment Awards last year as the youngest male individual in history. Having been active across many programs such as Immortal Songs, Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, The Secret of Celebrity Soldiers and Pollunteer, Lee Chan-won, who proved his value as "KBS's son," draws attention to whether he will sit on the throne for a second consecutive year.
Jun Hyun-moo has played a central role not only on the boss has donkey ears, which he has MCed for more than six years, but also on Crazy Rich Korean with smooth hosting ability and outstanding sense. Having won the KBS Entertainment Award for entertainer of the year four consecutive years since 2021, Jun Hyun-moo has solidified his position as a representative MC of KBS entertainment, completing the strongest lineup of candidates.
Who will win the coveted grand prize remains to be seen.
