2025 KBS 2TV one-act project 'Love : Track' episodes 'Onion soup after work' and 'First love is a wired earphone' delivered warm consolation and emotion that love gives, making a smooth start.
The first broadcast on the 14th of the 2025 KBS 2TV one-act project 'Love : Track' featured 'Onion soup after work' (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Lee Seon-hwa) and 'First love is a wired earphone' (directed by Jeong Gwang-su, written by Jeong Hyo), which raised the temperature of love with a warm healing romance and a fluffy love story that evokes memories of first love.
'Onion soup after work' offered quiet consolation through a cooking show romance between Park Mu-an (Lee Dong-hwi) who endures each day as a pharmaceutical sales employee and chef Han Da-jeong (Bang Hyo-rin) who runs a French home-style restaurant. For Mu-an, who was always pushed aside at work and in relationships, the only comfort was a bowl of onion soup he ate at his regular restaurant after work. But one day, onion soup disappeared from the menu, and Mu-an returned to the restaurant to find out why. Without much explanation, Da-jeong said she would no longer sell the onion soup, adding tension to their relationship.
Mu-an asked Da-jeong to let him have the onion soup one last time, and Da-jeong set a condition that they shop together at the early morning market. As they chose ingredients and prepared food together, they naturally seeped into each other's daily lives.
While making onion soup with Mu-an, Da-jeong said the core of cooking is 'waiting,' and Mu-an realized for the first time that the onion soup he had easily eaten was a carefully prepared dish. Later, Da-jeong revealed to Mu-an why she had taken the onion soup off the menu: waiting for Mu-an, who sought the soup only on hard days, felt like waiting for his misfortune. Hearing Da-jeong's sincerity, Mu-an was comforted by realizing he was not alone. The two announced the start of a new relationship with a promise to share food in joy and sorrow, and they reached a happy ending.
Next, 'First love is a wired earphone' set in 2010 presented a first-love melodrama that made viewers' eyes moist between Han Young-seo (Han Ji-hyun) and Ki Hyeon-ha (Ong Seong-wu). Young-seo, who was the top student in school and carried everyone's expectations, hid her feelings while under pressure from grades and college entrance exams. By chance, Young-seo grew close to Hyeon-ha, and through the MP3 and wired earphones Hyeon-ha gave her, she encountered classical music, which for a moment allowed Young-seo to forget the noise of the world.
The two slowly shared their hearts, listening to music with one set of wired earphones shared between them. Music became a medium that connected emotions before words, and through this process Young-seo faced the inner voice she had been ignoring.
As the college entrance exam approached, Young-seo lost herself amid grades and anxiety, and Hyeon-ha cautiously reached out, saying, "Whatever it is, try to build your world. I think you can do it." Hyeon-ha was the first to realize Young-seo dreamed of becoming a lyricist and offered silent support through actions rather than words. But the wall of reality separated them, and when Hyeon-ha left to study abroad, Young-seo's first love ended with a dream left behind.
As time passed, Young-seo finally realized through Hyeon-ha what she had been dreaming of and took a step toward that dream. Fifteen years later, living in their own worlds, the two met again as adults and realized that although their first love was unfulfilled, it had pushed each other's lives forward. 'First love is a wired earphone,' which summoned memories of first love, left the living room drama with a gentle aftertaste.
