It has been seven years since the late Han Hye-gyeong, known by the nickname fan lady, passed away.
The late Han Hye-gyeong, famous as the "fan lady," died on Dec. 15, 2018. The cause of death was not disclosed exactly, and her bereaved family held a quiet funeral.
The late Han Hye-gyeong first appeared on SBS' Moment Capture, Things Like This in the World in 2004. At the time she appeared on the broadcast, the late person had such outstanding beauty that she even pursued a singing career, but driven by a desire to become more beautiful she underwent illegal cosmetic procedures injecting soybean oil, paraffin and other substances into her face, experienced side effects, and later underwent 15 operations to remove foreign substances.
Immediately after the broadcast appearance there was a tremendous reaction, and interest in the late Han Hye-gyeong was also intense. The interest in the late person turned into offers of help. Four years after the broadcast, she appeared to have a smaller face after corrective surgery and was still enjoying life to the point of dreaming of being a singer.
The late Han Hye-gyeong also revealed her condition in Channel A's 2013 documentary "That Person at the Time." Even in 2013, she conveyed the sad news that she had quit her job and was unable to socialize with people.
