The cast of the American sitcom 'Friends,' which gained worldwide popularity, reunited for the second anniversary of the late Matthew Perry.
Recently, Page Six reported that the actors from 'Friends' came together to honor Matthew Perry after his tragic death.
According to the report, including Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer collaborated with the late Matthew Perry Foundation and participated together in a charity fundraising event. In photos released on official social media, they were each signing artworks commissioned by the charity.
The 'Friends' team personally signed artworks inspired by their different characters. These were produced in collaboration with the team managing Matthew Perry's estate, and a limited-edition artwork collection is being sold for $600.
Proceeds from this fundraising event will be distributed to the Matthew Perry Foundation, which helps those struggling with addiction, and to other charities chosen by the cast.
Matthew Perry, who was beloved for his role as Chandler on 'Friends,' died at the age of 54 in October 2023. He was found unconscious in the hot tub at his home.
The autopsy report prepared by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner noted drowning, coronary artery disease, and the opioid buprenorphine as causes.
In response, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer said in a joint statement, "We were all so devastated by Matthew's death. We were more than just cast mates. We are family."
They added, "There is so much to say, but right now we will take the time to grieve and process this incalculable loss," and "When the time comes, we will say more when we can. Right now our thoughts and love are with Matthew's family, his friends, and all the people around the world who loved him."
