Meanwhile, comedian Park Na-rae, who is under suspicion of "illegal medical practices," appears likely to undergo a police investigation.
On the 15th, Park Jeong-bo, chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, said at a regular press briefing held at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in Jongno District, Seoul, "There are five cases filed against Park Na-rae and one case filed by Park Na-rae's side, for a total of six cases that each police station is currently investigating."
Former managers of Park Na-rae filed a complaint with Gangnam Police Station against Park Na-rae on charges including special injury, defamation for stating false facts, and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation), alleging workplace harassment, verbal abuse, special injury, proxy prescriptions, and nonpayment of hosting fees.
Investigations related to Park Na-rae are being conducted by Gangnam Police Station and Yongsan Police Station in Seoul. On the 5th, Park Na-rae filed a complaint accusing the former managers who submitted the complaint of attempted extortion, and that complaint is being investigated by Yongsan Police Station. Regarding the nurse surnamed 'Lee,' Gangnam Station is currently investigating.
The police said, "It is understood that special assault and matters related to the Medical Service Act are the main issues." Regarding the "nurse surnamed 'Lee'," they explained, "It was just received, so the complainant and accuser have not been investigated."
The police said, "We are at the point of having just launched the investigation," and "We will investigate strictly according to procedure."
