Actor Peter Green, well known for the films 'Pulp Fiction' and 'The Mask,' has died. He was 60.
On the 13th (local time), according to U.S. entertainment outlet the New York Post, Green was found dead in his New York City APT.
Peter Green was found unconscious at about 3:25 p.m. on the 13th in his APT on Clinton Street in the Lower East Side and was pronounced dead at the scene, police and his manager said.
Police said there is no sign of foul play, but the exact cause of death will be determined by the examiner.
The deceased is survived by his 16-year-old son, Ryder. Manager Edwards said, "He was a truly wonderful person. Truly one of the great actors of our generation. His heart was enormously big. He will be deeply missed. He was a great friend."
Edwards said Green was scheduled to begin filming an independent thriller called "Mascots" with Mickey Rourke in January next year, and that he informed Kerry Mondragon, who wrote and directed the film, of Green's death.
Edwards said, "The deceased worked with many great actors and directors," and added that Green's performance as gangster Dorian Tyrell in the film 'The Mask,' in which he appeared with Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz, "was perhaps his best performance."
