"Sadanggwi" announcer Kim Jin-woong was stopped from touching an expensive viewing stone with his bare hands.
On the afternoon of the 14th, the KBS2 variety show The boss's ears are donkey ears (hereafter Sadanggwi) aired episodes featuring announcer Eom Ji-in and North Korean defector–turned CEO Lee Sun-sil, among others. Special MC Dawon of WJSN appeared.
Announcer Eom Ji-in visited her best friend Sul Woon-do to sing herself on the Morning Yard corner Challenge! Stage of dreams, and, leading junior announcers Kim Jin-woong and Nam Hyun-jong, headed to Yangpyeong to meet legend Sul Woon-do of the Korean music scene to fix tone-deafness and rhythm problems.
Before the singing lesson, Sul Woon-do started with a tour of his house, which housed about 1,000 viewing stones in every corner and resembled a stone museum. From opal and emerald rough stones to golden pyrite and bamboo fossils, it was truly like a mineral collection, and dazzling viewing stones worth several hundred million won at market value caught the eye.
Holding a spray bottle tightly in one hand, Sul Woon-do revealed special care by spraying water whenever he explained each viewing stone. At that moment, Kim Jin-woong, curious, reached out to touch a stone, and Sul Woon-do quickly stopped him, saying, "You must never touch it. When you spray water on the stone, the color comes alive inside." He added, "But if you touch it with your hand, the oil from your hand prevents the water from soaking in."
Fortunately, Sul Woon-do stopped Kim Jin-woong in time and he did not touch the stone, and Sul Woon-do added, "There are stones you can touch and stones you cannot. Mineral types can be touched, but the ones on sand should not be touched."
Not knowing much about viewing stones, Kim Jin-woong apologized to Sul Woon-do and behaved more cautiously.
Earlier, on Aug. 8, announcer Kim Jin-woong sparked controversy on Sadanggwi when he visited a matchmaking agency and said, "I can't live like senior Do Kyung-wan. It may be rude to him, but I can't live as someone else's secondary," which upset singer Jang Yoon-jung. Kim Jin-woong later contacted her separately to apologize and posted an apology on his personal social media, bringing the matter to a close.
