The person who revealed rumors about actor Lee Yi-kyung's private life is now claiming that Lee Yi-kyung 'unsent' messages.
A, who exposed Lee Yi-kyung's private life, posted on their social media on the 13th, saying "Huh??" and claimed that Lee Yi-kyung deleted messages from their conversation.
A claimed that after exchanging DMs (direct messages) with Lee Yi-kyung, Lee Yi-kyung canceled the existing conversation, making it look as if A had been talking alone. In the released video, A logged into Lee Yi-kyung's account to check the DMs, but only A's messages remained in that conversation. A is therefore claiming that Lee Yi-kyung unsent the messages.
Earlier, on the 12th, A also posted, "If anyone still thinks it's AI, raise your hand. Really, this is the absolute last. If this is real, then the rest of the KakaoTalk conversations must be real too? I'm embarrassed but there's nothing I can do," and released messages they claimed were DMs exchanged with Lee Yi-kyung.
According to the material A released, he first sent a DM to Lee Yi-kyung on Jan. 26 of last year saying, "You are my ideal type. Would you be OK with a foreigner?" Lee Yi-kyung replied, "You speak Korean really well. Which country are you in?" and A sent a selfie at Lee Yi-kyung's request. Seeing a revealing photo, Lee Yi-kyung said, "You covered it with flowers."
According to A's claims, the conversation with Lee Yi-kyung continued, and Lee Yi-kyung sent messages such as, "It's surprising that looking at the breasts led the conversation this far," "What is your size?", and "E-cup? I have never seen that in my life."
A has been releasing messages they say were exchanged with Lee Yi-kyung, claiming to expose his private life. However, after the exposure, A reversed their position, saying the content was manipulated by AI and apologizing, and has made inconsistent claims while expressing grievance.
Lee Yi-kyung filed a complaint for defamation and other charges over the spread of false information and is awaiting the results of the investigation. Lee Yi-kyung said, "I went to the complainant statement investigation and conveyed my position regarding the rumor. I have completed the complaint procedure for threats and defamation by spreading false information. Even if the person is German, I will go to Germany to file a complaint."
Lee Yi-kyung also said at an awards ceremony, "The current suspect is sending apologies and requests for leniency to the company's email. I think we will definitely catch them."
