The group EXO is meeting fans after about 1 year and 8 months through a fan meeting, but disappointing news has been delivered. Lay will be unable to attend the fan meeting on the day due to unavoidable circumstances.
On the 14th, SM Entertainment announced through the fan community platform, "Due to unavoidable circumstances, member Lay is unable to attend the fan meeting."
On that day, SM said, "We ask for your understanding in announcing a sudden change in participating members to fans who have waited and supported us for a long time, and please check the ticket cancellation and refund policy due to the change in participating members."
With this, five members — Suho, Chanyeol, DIO, Kai and Sehun — will attend the fan meeting.
EXO fan meeting "EXO'verse" will be held at Inspire Arena in Jung-gu, Incheon, on Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in two sessions, and the news that Suho, Chanyeol, DIO, Kai, Sehun and Lay will be together for the first time in a long while drew high interest as soon as it was announced.
In particular, the fan meeting quickly sold out both sessions during the pre-sale on Melon Ticket held on the 30th for members of EXO's official fan club EXO-L, showing once again EXO's still-hot popularity.
This fan meeting, held about 1 year and 8 months after EXO's 12th anniversary fan meeting "ONE" held in April 2024, will revisit past memories with a variety of hit-song stages including the winter song "First Snow," and is expected to be well received as new-song stages will also be unveiled for the first time.
Additionally, for fans around the world who unfortunately cannot attend the fan meeting in person, an online live stream will be prepared on Beyond Live and Weverse, and detailed information related to this will be available later on EXO's official SNS account.
EXO is currently working on album production with the goal of releasing their eighth studio album in the first quarter of 2026.
