It has been 10 years since actor the late Kang Doo-ri passed away.
The late Kang Doo-ri was found dead in the early morning of Dec. 14, 2015, at her home in Bupyeong District, Incheon. She was 22.
At the time, the cause of death was reported as a traffic accident, but a later police investigation proved that was incorrect. The police, citing no signs of forced entry and no external injuries on the body, determined that she had taken her own life.
The late Kang Doo-ri debuted in the entertainment industry in 2010 through the drama "Suspicious Three Brothers" and later appeared in MBC's "Scandal: Very shocking and immoral incident" in 2013 and KBS2's Cheer Up! in 2015. Cheer Up! remained her final work.
She also worked as a broadcaster on AfreecaTV from 2013. A few days before her death, Kang Doo-ri wrote on her homepage, "Lately there have been so many personal bad things that it's hard. Things have gotten worse, so I can't go according to plan," she said.
She left a farewell saying, "I am truly sorry. I am pulling myself together and preparing to come back. See you next week," but the sudden news brought deep sorrow.
