Actor Byeon Yo-han and Girls' Generation alumnus Tiffany Young have acknowledged their relationship. It has been revealed that the two are in a serious relationship on the premise of marriage.
On the 13th, news emerged that Byeon Yo-han and Tiffany are planning to marry next fall. The two are reported to have developed into a couple after working together on the Disney+ original "Uncle SamSik," which was released in May last year.
In an interview conducted at the time of the release of "Uncle SamSik," Tiffany revealed her fandom for Byeon Yo-han and said he was "a person like a mentor who will remain for a long time in my acting life." Byeon Yo-han also expressed gratitude to Tiffany for becoming his English teacher and confessed that he "relied on her completely."
In response, Byeon Yo-han's agency Team Hope issued an official statement acknowledging the relationship, saying "The two actors are currently seriously dating on the premise of marriage." It added, "Although no specific schedule has been confirmed yet, both actors have expressed a wish to inform fans first the moment their intentions are decided," and said they would share the news directly if a specific wedding date is determined.
Although fans and the public were surprised by the sudden marriage news, it later came to light that Byeon Yo-han and Tiffany had been sending steady signals of dating for some time. Since early this year they had begun wearing couple rings with the same design on the ring finger of their right hands at official events and in private.
Meanwhile, Byeon Yo-han and Tiffany posted handwritten letters on their social accounts to convey their positions on their relationship and marriage. Byeon Yo-han said, "I am cautious and nervous about whether this sudden news will surprise you," and added, "I am meeting a wonderful person on the premise of marriage. Although no specific schedule or plan has been decided yet, above all I have always wanted to be the first to share this news with fans."
He described Tiffany as "someone who makes me want to become a better person when we are together, and whose smiling face quickly warms a tired heart," and added, "I will become an actor whose mutual laughter becomes healthy joy and whose mutual sorrow becomes healthy maturity so that a warmer heart can be conveyed."
Tiffany also revealed, "I am currently in a serious relationship with someone on the premise of marriage with a good heart," and showed affection for Byeon Yo-han, saying, "He is the person who gives me stability and makes me view the world with a positive, hopeful perspective."
She continued, "Although no specific schedule has been set yet, if any important decisions are made in the future I will personally inform fans first," and promised, "I sincerely thank you for supporting me for a long time and watching over me with warm eyes. I will not forget that feeling, I will cherish it, and I will repay you by doing my best in my position going forward."
Meanwhile, Tiffany Young debuted as a member of Girls' Generation in 2007 and, beginning with her appearance in the musical "Fame" in 2011, has steadily pursued acting with roles in the musicals "Chicago," the dramas "Reborn Rich" and "Uncle SamSik," among others.
Yo-han began his acting career in 2011 with the short film "Saturday shift" and became known to the public through the drama "Misaeng." He then showcased solid acting skills in a variety of works including "Six Flying Dragons," "Mr. Sunshine," "Uncle SamSik," "The World of the Married" (literal: "Death to Snow White"), the films "Socialphobia," "Will You Be There?," "The Book of Fish," "Hansan: Rising Dragon," and "Following."
