The teaser for the new game "GANG OF DRAGON," being developed by Nagoshi Studio led by game creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, was unveiled for the first time at The Game Awards 2025 held on Dec. 12 (Dec. 11 local time in the U.S.).
"GANG OF DRAGON" is an action-adventure game set in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, and Ma Dong-seok has been cast as Shin Ji-seong, an executive of a Korea-origin mafia organization.
According to Nagoshi Studio, the protagonist "Shin Ji-seong" is a character who can execute dynamic combat using overwhelming physicality to perform hand-to-hand combat as well as knife and gun actions, promising solid action befitting Ma Dong-seok's name. The game also offers flashy play that lets players drive a car and sweep across the complex, lively streets of Shinjuku.
The scenario and overall directing for "GANG OF DRAGON" is being handled by Japanese star game creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, the maker of the famous game franchise "Yakuza." Toshihiro Nagoshi said of the teaser reveal, "I feel a mixture of relief and tension to finally be able to present 'GANG OF DRAGON' to you. This work fearlessly faces head-on the lives of outsiders living on the real street called 'Kabukicho.' The studio is pouring its heart into development to deliver the new drama of the people who live here. By the way, the teaser released this time is only an extremely small part of GOD, so please look forward to more in the future."
Ma Dong-seok is collaborating with Nagoshi Studio and is currently shooting Netflix's "Taigo: Extraction," and he appears as a master on tvN and Disney+ "I AM BOXER," which he personally designed and produced, demonstrating his global influence through film, games and variety shows.
