Group SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan challenged himself to host a variety show solo for the first time since his debut.
Seungkwan held a glamorous MC debut ceremony through episode 1 of
From the first episode his talker's skill shone like a veteran. Standing in front of the camera, Seungkwan said, "I am deeply moved that so many staff members have poured their hearts into preparing this program trusting only me. I am very excited," and jokingly added, "Now I can go to the Baeksang Arts Awards and the Blue Dragon Series Awards," drawing laughter.
His steady hosting skills, honed through experience as a special and joint MC on talk shows and variety programs, also stood out. Welcoming Stray Kids member Lee Know as his first guest, Seungkwan led a relaxed back-and-forth as if chatting with a friend. He displayed deep industry knowledge befitting his nickname "K-pop professor," and, as a senior artist, shared small hardships he has faced, forming a bond with Lee Know.
Trying to make dessert for his guest he ended up receiving help, and his overinvolvement in a game and fiery competitiveness made even his somewhat awkward moments funny. At the end of the broadcast, Seungkwan left a cute request, "I think I was very nervous because it was the first episode. Even if I fumbled a bit, please look on it kindly," making viewers anticipate the further upgraded activities of "MC Bbu."
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN, of which Seungkwan is a member, is heating up Japan's four major domes with SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN JAPAN. Following yesterday (the 11th), they will meet local fans again on the 12th on the Tokyo Dome stage. The concerts will continue to Fukuoka PayPay Dome on the 20th and 21st.
