Actress Han Ji-eun won the best supporting actress award at the 2025 Seoul International Film Awards.
Han Ji-eun won the best supporting actress award for the film Hitman 2 at the 2025 Seoul International Film Awards ceremony held on Wednesday, the 10th, at the Halla Hall of Dragon City Hotel in Yongsan, Seoul.
The 2025 Seoul International Film Awards marked its 13th year this year, and winners and winning works were selected from films released and works aired on OTT platforms from Aug. 2024 through Nov. 2025.
In Hitman 2, Han Ji-eun gave a passionate performance as Jeon Hae-in, a museum director who hides secrets behind a kind smile. She received praise for amplifying the film's appeal with her femme fatale charm and action acting as well as her sly comic acting. Her impressive performance led to the honor of the award.
When Han Ji-eun, whose name was called as the winner, took the stage she said, "I am so grateful to receive such a precious and valuable award." She added that the profession of acting, like any other job, is not easy, but thanks to many seniors, including the late Lee Soon-jae, whom she had met earlier, she feels she can move forward with confidence. She said she would regard the award as encouragement and support to do better and vowed sincerely to become an actor who loves acting and film even more.
In 2025 Han Ji-eun has been active across film, drama and theater, showing her status as a leading figure. After receiving the best supporting actress award for Hitman 2, she played a detective in the film Only God Knows Everything, serving a pivotal role in the story. She also showcased different charms in each work through the tvN weekend drama When the Stars Gossip and the TVING original Study Group, and expanded her activities into Japan with the Korea-Japan co-production first love DOGS, which was jointly produced by Japan's terrestrial broadcaster TBS and domestic production company Studio Dragon.
Through various works and challenges like these, Han Ji-eun is establishing herself as an increasingly influential actor. She is expected to show a new side in the upcoming film Intern, and anticipation for her future moves is growing.
