'growth all-rounder' group POW raised expectations for expanding its global activities by expressing the wish "to meet fans with solo concerts in Beijing and Shanghai, China."
POW (Yochi, Hyunbin, Jeongbin, Dongyeon, Hong) on the 9th released an interview and a "Wall Flowers" live performance conducted with Chinese independent music showcase brand homegrown. The interview was conducted during visits to Beijing and Shanghai to communicate directly with local fans and conveyed POW's sincere feelings about activities in China. This live performance increased its completeness through collaboration with homegrown, which has worked with emerging Chinese artists over the past five years.
In the interview, POW spoke candidly about various topics, from musical values and stage behind-the-scenes to memories with Chinese fans. First, when asked "what is music to POW," Jeongbin said, "I would like to describe it as POW's diary," explaining, "We put the members' growth processes, emotions and stories into music, so I want to describe it that way."
Yochi expressed gratitude about the "Wall Flowers" live collaboration with Chinese musicians, saying, "During the arrangement process, the Chinese traditional instrument zhongruan (中阮) sound was partially used, and it fit the song very well, making the stage richer."
They also shared impressions of visiting several Chinese cities in succession. Jeongbin said, "I recently visited Nanjing, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Shanghai and Beijing, and each city has a different scent. Beijing in particular has a flashy scent." Yochi added, "Among them, I especially want to hold concerts in Shanghai and Beijing. I keep waiting for that day to come," expressing anticipation for reuniting with local fans.
This year POW has continued active promotions without pause with "Gimme Love," "Always there," "Being Tender (how to become tender)," and "Wall Flowers," expanding their musical spectrum. In particular, "Wall Flowers" achieved meaningful results on global charts, proving POW's growth momentum.
Meanwhile, POW concluded their "Wall Flowers" activities successfully and are preparing for their next comeback.
