In December, the film 'Sinui Akdan' (director Ging Hyeong-hyeop), which will close out 2025 with an ensemble of laughter and emotion, released for the first time character videos that showcase the intense, twelve-person, twelve-color personalities.
The released video begins with the coldly composed security bureau lieutenant 'Park Gyo-sun' (Park Si-hoo) murmuring "We will catch those reactionary bastards," creating tension. But the mood quickly reverses when an absurd order follows: "Form singer and dance teams to make a band, and give them praise training as a whole!"
Needing to organize a "fake praise group" to earn foreign currency, 'Park Gyo-sun' shouts "Do it combatively, as a speed campaign, revolutionarily!" and pushes the band in a military style, but in front of the unruly members he gradually shows signs of human anguish(?)
The reversal of the security bureau captain watching him, 'Kim Tae-seong' (Jung Jin-woon), is also spectacular. Early on he stares at the band with a fierce gaze, but a scene in which he suddenly becomes overwhelmed with emotion, raises both hands and cries out "Lord!" as if in anguish piques curiosity about what psychological change he undergoes in the film.
Here come a parade of distinctive characters: the bandleader 'Kim Seong-cheol' (Tae Hang-ho), who burns with unusual passion, asking "How about trying it for real like in combat?"; 'Wang Gil-jo' (Jang Ji-geon), who hits the drums saying "Music is not played with the head, it's a feel in the hands"; and the slick guitarist 'Ri Man-su' (Han Jeong-wan), who disarms Park Gyo-sun by asking "Can I call you Seong (hyung)?"
In particular, scenes of members bickering—saying "It's not that we vomit at the party's orders, it's that we're pessimistic!"—and performing together on a truck against a subzero snowfield backdrop forecast the delightful laughter and touching emotion that will come as these ragtag members gradually become one voice as the 'Sinui Akdan'.
The film 'Sinui Akdan', a miraculous story about a 'fake' play started to survive that gradually becomes 'real,' will warm theaters at the end of this year with a perfect acting ensemble of 12 actors spanning generations, including Park Si-hoo, Jung Jin-woon, Tae Hang-ho, Seo Dong-won, Jang Ji-geon and Choi Seon-ja.
Having raised anticipation by releasing unpredictable character videos of the 12 members, 'Sinui Akdan' opens nationwide on the 31st.
