'Fun-Staurant' Lee Jung-hyun and her husband take part in a couple volunteer activity.
On Dec. 12, KBS 2TV's 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (hereafter 'Fun-Staurant,' directed by Yoon Byung-il) will feature the all-purpose goddess Lee Jung-hyun spending a meaningful time with her husband, who is a doctor. The two use their respective talents to carry out volunteer work. Not only do they savor the joy shared through the volunteer activity, but Lee Jung-hyun and her husband's display of positive influence is expected to bring heartwarming emotion to viewers on Friday evening.
In the VCR shown that day, Lee Jung-hyun asked her husband, "We agreed to go to the volunteer activity together tomorrow, didn't we?" which aroused curiosity. Lee Jung-hyun's husband has been steadily doing medical volunteer work from his residency to the present. Lee Jung-hyun said, "I always wanted to go at least once to the place where my husband volunteers to be of help, and this time I got the chance."
Lee Jung-hyun and her husband recalled conversations they had during their dating days. Lee Jung-hyun said, "If a war breaks out, since my husband is an orthopedic surgeon, he would be called to the front line. I said I would follow him and at least sing beside him," adding, "At that time I loved him so much I didn't want to be apart," as she drifted into memories.
Meanwhile, on that day Lee Jung-hyun brought out her specialty—cooking—to volunteer with her husband. While her husband provided medical volunteer services, she volunteered to serve meals for 400 seniors. Lee Jung-hyun not only made 400 portions of fresh kimchi starting the day before, but also purchased all the ingredients out of her own pocket and planned all the menu items using her own recipes for this meal service.
On the day of the volunteer work, neighborhood residents watching Lee Jung-hyun efficiently prepare mass meals for 400 people with other volunteers praised her, saying, "Veteran. The form you had comes out."
While many seniors ate the dishes Lee Jung-hyun prepared, on one side her husband attracted attention by carefully tending to the seniors' health while providing medical volunteer services. Watching this in the VCR, Lee Jung-hyun confessed, "I see him every day at home in gray sweats, so when I see him in a gown like that sometimes it makes my heart flutter," which drew laughter.
Lee Jung-hyun and her husband brought warm smiles even at the volunteer site with their unique couple chemistry. The story of the couple's volunteer work, in which they used their respective talents together, will be revealed on Dec. 12, Friday at 8:30 p.m. on KBS 2TV 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant'.<
