That day Kim Na-young met KT (Hee-yeon), who was adopted to the United States in February 2002, and talked with her. KT said she contacted her biological parents last November, and that her birth mother revealed where she currently lives and that she had married someone else and has children.
KT said, "I learned that my adoption was due more to pressure from those around me than because my biological parents wanted it. I didn't plan to get pregnant at a young age, but after becoming pregnant I learned that they made many efforts for my birth," she said.
Kim Na-young comforted her, saying, "Raising a child at twenty or nineteen is hard even now, but it must have been much harder back then." KT said, "I think my biological parents were brave. Even if not now, I am waiting for the day we will meet someday. And even if they do not come to find me, I have never once resented or been angry. If they want to meet me even 20 years from now, I will welcome them gladly, just as I do now," she said.
Encouraged by KT's confession, Kim Na-young also mentioned her family history. From a certain time onward, only photos with her father remained from her childhood photos.
She said the reason her mother died was, "My mother had a weak heart. I remember it so well; it was the inauguration day of former president Roh Tae-woo. At that time my mother was mopping the floor, went to the next room to get a doll and came back to the room, and she stopped exactly as she had been mopping. So I knocked on the downstairs door and remember going to the hospital as the last memory," revealing she experienced a sudden farewell.
Kim Na-young said, "And people around me didn't tell me. They said she went to America. She went far away," and expressed longing, saying, "When I see children growing up well? I think how nice it would have been if she could have watched beside me." Kim Na-young said, "I was greatly healed by giving the love I received from my mother while raising my child."
