Netflix series Cashero released its main poster and main trailer.
Sang-woong, a salaryman struggling with wedding funds and house prices, gains the ability to become stronger by the amount of money he holds in his hand, and the lifestyle-centered "my money, my power" hero story Cashero, which wavers between living expenses and superpowers, unveiled its main poster and trailer.
The main poster shows a wounded face and torn clothing. The image of Sang-woong (Lee Jun-ho), who looks far from a hero, immediately catches the eye. Sang-woong, who overnight gained the superpower of becoming as strong as the cash he holds in his hand. Falling coins and the copy "paycheck-burning, saving others with my money-powered cash hero" foreshadow the pathetic daily life of a hero who must use his salary to save the world. Behind him, Sang-woong's girlfriend Minsook (Kim Hye-jun), who wears a surprised expression, and the lawyer (Kim Byung-chul), who can pass through anything when he drinks, and Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), who exerts telekinesis when she consumes calories, make viewers curious about the actions they will perform together with Sang-woong.
The main trailer that was released together begins with Sang-woong and Minsook staring in shock at the bundles of bills scattering and the falling coins the more he uses his power.
One day, Sang-woong, who reacts, "Ah, am I some kind of pushover? No way!" to the suddenly acquired superpower, evokes the inexplicable, incomprehensible situations one encounters in life and is amusingly sad on its own. Contrary to his girlfriend Minsook's pressure not to use the superpower because they need to get married and buy a house, situations that force Sang-woong to use his power continue to arise. To make matters worse, the Korea Association of Superhumans' Lawyer and Bang Eun-mi, and the villain organization Perpetrators' Jonathan (Lee Chae-min), Joanna (Kang Han-na), and Jo Won-do (Kim Eui-sung) appear, further disrupting Sang-woong's chaotic daily life.
Sang-woong, who finds himself in a situation where he must use his superpower by spending his paycheck together with the lawyer, who can pass through any obstacle when he drinks, and Bang Eun-mi, whose telekinesis activates the more she eats. Joanna's line to him, "Do you know what's stronger than superpowers in modern society? It's ability," elicits a poignant sympathy about a modern society where social power and ability are prioritized, and makes viewers curious how Sang-woong, who can use power only if he has money on hand even when he really has none, will overcome the Perpetrators.
Continuing with Sang-woong's line, "How did all those heroes manage to beat bad guys while supporting families and holding down jobs?", the line raises expectations for Cashero, a lifestyle-centered hero with human and realistic aspects different from other heroes.
This year-end, Cashero, which makes viewers anticipate the birth of a pathetic hero unlike any other in the world who will bring joy to audiences worldwide, will be released on Netflix on Dec. 26 (Fri).
