I'm SOLO contestant Yeong-sik, who received zero votes, showed discomfort toward Yeong-ja, who offered words of consolation.
On the afternoon of the 10th, ENA·SBS Plus' I'm SOLO aired, continuing the stories of solo men and women who appeared for the older-woman/younger-man special.
Earlier, Yeong-sik received zero votes during the selection time, and Yeong-ja offered words of consolation to comfort Yeong-sik, saying, "You seemed too young so you didn't get the sisters' picks, but when you go outside you'll be wildly popular with women of a similar age."
But Yeong-sik showed a slightly upset look at Yeong-ja's consolation and emphasized his sincerity. He drew a firm line, saying, "But when I'm here I want to achieve results here and then leave; thinking about whatever comes after that — I'm not thinking about that now. I can't even walk in front of me, so why would I think about that?"
In a later interview with production staff, Yeong-sik described in detail the uncomfortable feelings he had at the time. Yeong-sik said, "I'm here to meet a good person, so it's meaningless if someone contacts someone else after it's over," and added, "It's like going to college with early admission preparation and being told to go by the regular admissions. It made me feel really bad."
In the end, Yeong-sik later called Yeong-ja out separately. When Yeong-ja asked, "Do you have something to consult about?" Yeong-sik began, "It's the 6th. I think you have to work hard until then; I don't think about after that," and did not hide his discomfort with the words of consolation Yeong-ja had just offered.
Studio panelists were shocked by Yeong-sik's firm and blunt attitude. Song Hae-na could not hide her surprise, saying, "What, did you really meet to argue?", and Defconn spoke for Yeong-sik, adding that it was a way of saying, "Don't distort my sincerity."
