Singer Hwasa (HWASA) expressed joy at becoming the inaugural No. 1 artist on the newly established "Billboard Korea Hot 100" chart, saying, "Being the first always is meaningful."
Hwasa recently became the first No. 1 singer on the chart newly established by Billboard headquarters and Billboard Korea, the "Billboard Korea Hot 100," with "Good Goodbye (굿 굿바이)." In relation to this, she conveyed her thoughts on the achievement to Billboard.
Hwasa said, "I am honored to be the first No. 1 on the 'Billboard Korea Hot 100' chart newly launched by Billboard. Every 'first' always is meaningful. Thank you."
She added about the song's popularity, "I once said I hoped this song would be a comfort to someone, and that wish becoming reality makes me the happiest."
Hwasa, who is causing a reverse-run surge with "Good Goodbye," not only held the No. 1 spot on the "Billboard Korea Hot 100" for two consecutive weeks, but also reached No. 1 for the first time on the "Billboard World Digital Song Sales" chart, writing a meaningful record.
Also, on the "Billboard Global 200," where she first entered last week at No. 43, she rose 11 spots to rank No. 32, continuing a remarkable global rise.
Hwasa swept six crowns again last week on the Circle Chart for week 49 (Nov. 30–Dec. 6, 2025) announced on the 11th with "Good Goodbye" on the digital, streaming and BGM charts.
Continuing an unbroken run of No. 1s, Hwasa has been active after signing an exclusive contract with P NATION, led by Psy, showcasing distinctive-concept music such as "I Love My Body (아이 러브 마이 바디)," "NA (나)," and "Good Goodbye."
