Ha Won-mi recalled her dating days with Choo Shin-soo.

Ha Won-mi, who tried her first part-time job in her life, attracted attention by revealing that she once managed vending machines to earn pocket money.
She said she managed vending machines even while dating Choo Shin-soo and said, "My father wouldn't let me take a part-time job. Because of the hours, he said it would be better to do management like that; isn't that a kind of business? Do that to earn pocket money. Looking back now, I think that helped me a lot."
She added, "Because it was a business of 10-won items. At that time, regular coffee was 150 won and premium coffee was 200 won. So I realized that small amounts add up to a mountain. I learned that."
Saying she managed just one vending machine, Ha Won-mi recalled, "It was pretty profitable. My vending machine was in front of a bus stop. So in winter the net profit was 2 million won a month. I saved that money and went to the U.S. (to see Choo Shin-soo). I used that money to date my husband."
In particular, Ha Won-mi said about Choo Shin-soo's income at the time, "He didn't have money. When I first met him I didn't know he didn't have much money. We kept dating and for about the first week he bought me nice things and we went places. At some point, if we were going to meet he'd suggest meeting at a PC room or a comic book cafe."
She continued, "Then when that money ran out he kept telling me to come over to his house. I didn't want to date outside; I didn't want to stay at home. So I wondered if my feelings had cooled or if he wanted something else. It turned out he didn't have money for dates. I noticed first, so I paid confidently. From then on," she said, drawing admiration.
The producers asked, "Was Choo Shin-soo hurt in his pride?" and Ha Won-mi said, "I deliberately made him work. I brought my husband along and we cleaned inside the vending machine, collected money and refilled drinks; we did it together while dating," saying they managed the vending machine together.
Meanwhile, Ha Won-mi and Choo Shin-soo married in 2004 and have two sons and a daughter.
