13 siblings' Nam Bora, pregnant seven months after marriage…"a new life has come to our family"
Actress Nam Bora announced she is expecting seven months after her wedding, becoming a mother-to-be.
Nam Bora announced the pregnancy herself on Nov. 11 via her personal SNS, posting, "A new life has come to our family :) I will soon become a mother." She said she had wanted to become pregnant within the year and added that she was very grateful that it happened at the right time, saying she has been feeling thankful and happy every day lately. She expressed that she would prepare well to welcome the new family member by nurturing the baby healthily in her womb. She added, "Thank you for your support and love. I hope our baby can also receive your love."
Nam Bora's pregnancy had also seemed hinted at in a recent broadcast. On Sept. 9, KBS 2TV variety show Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant showed Nam Bora traveling to Gimcheon with her siblings. During a mukbang where they enjoyed 15 servings of Jireh black pork, a sibling mentioned plans for a second child, saying, "You said you were preparing for a baby," and Nam Bora candidly said, "We originally wanted to have one fairly quickly." In the studio, Lee Jung-hyun strongly agreed, saying, "You should have it quickly."
The broadcast also brought up dream omens about childbirth. Nam Bora's sibling said, "I don't usually dream much lately, but about a dozen or so rainbow parrots flew to me," and described it as "a scene fit for a legend." Nam Bora laughed and replied, "Isn't that your childbirth dream?" The sibling emphasized, "The parrots were really large. They flew like legendary creatures and brushed past my hair," prompting laughter from the cast. Hyojung joked, "If there are 15 parrots, isn't that fifteen siblings? Are they surpassing the mother?"
As the broadcast had mentioned plans for a second child and the childbirth dream, interest grew, and when the actual pregnancy news was reported about two months later, fans continued to offer congratulations.
Meanwhile, Nam Bora married a businessman of the same age in May after about two years of dating. Known as the eldest of 13 siblings, news of Nam Bora's "new family" has received an even warmer response.
