Kim Won-hoon's active YouTube channel "Shortbox" began to gain explosive popularity with the "long-term dating" series. Since then, it has reached about 3.7 million subscribers and approximately 1.3 billion cumulative views, establishing itself as a leading figure in Korea's sketch comedy scene. It then showcased a distinctive presence on various entertainment shows such as "SNL Korea," "Office Workers," and "My Turn," and in October it solidified his position as a top comedian by winning the comedian institutional sector of the "Brand of the Year" award for the second consecutive year.
Meme maker Kim Won-hoon, who created numerous catchphrases like "Will you or won't you?" and "It's ambiguous," experiences extreme generational differences with 'the secretaries' from the start. In one moment Kim Won-hoon fired a blunt line at senior actors Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu, saying "Don't be slow, move it quickly," and then immediately showed a contrasting side by saying "I'm sorry, hyungs..." and acting coy, turning the set into a sea of laughter, according to reports.
A previously released preview video also drew attention to 'the secretaries' engaging in secondhand transactions. In particular, a scene was captured of Lee Seo-jin happily accepting the 50,000 won bill handed to him by Kim Won-hoon, focusing interest on why Lee Seo-jin, the "chaebol scion," wore such a broad smile for a single banknote. Encountering his first-ever secondhand transaction, Lee Seo-jin toured the "Shortbox" office and reportedly showed unexpected "material desire," saying "I'll sell this too."
