Comedian Park Mi-sun helped a friend with makjang (kimchi-making) despite battling breast cancer.
Kim Jeong-nan uploaded a video titled 'Battle with 800 heads of napa cabbage: Kim Jeong-nan kimjang real site first reveal' to her YouTube channel on the 10th.
Going to help her friend's kimjang, Kim Jeong-nan said, "I've never seen so much kimchi made at once. You are unique in my circle. I love that family members gather and cooperate like this. Isn't this something you can only enjoy when you have a big family?"
A friend of Kim Jeong-nan said, "Yesterday sister Mi-sun said one thing. 'Hey, you should come,' 'you should learn how to do things like this.' Yesterday sister Mi-sun came and prepared all those green onions. It was a very tasteful way of trimming scallions," she said.
She added, "This kimjang is special. The big stars gathered at our house's kimjang," expressing pride.
Park Mi-sun stepped down from all shows she was appearing on earlier this year for health reasons and halted her activities. Her battle with breast cancer became known in August, raising concern among many.
Recently she appeared on the tvN variety show You Quiz on the Block and, saying "I came out to report I'm alive," shared an upbeat update that drew strong support. Appearing with short hair, she calmly revealed her battle and at times showed she had not lost her sense of humor.
Park Mi-sun has also been sharing her chemotherapy process and battle firsthand on her personal YouTube channel, delivering messages of courage and comfort to those enduring the same time.
