Singer Jung Jae-hyung's side said they "have never met" in response to allegations that Park Na-rae was involved with the so-called "injection auntie."
Jung Jae-hyung's agency Antenna told OSEN on the 10th, "We are issuing an official statement to correct stories that are not true," and "to prevent further misunderstanding regarding the controversial variety show episode, we make it clear that he is completely unrelated to the matter."
They also emphasized that regarding A, the person at the center of Park Na-rae's recent "injection auntie" controversy, "he has no personal relationship with A and has never even met A."
Earlier, Park Na-rae has been swept up in multiple controversies, beginning with her former manager's allegations of abusive behavior, followed by accusations of embezzling company funds and illegal medical practices. In particular, on the 6th, Dispatch raised suspicions that Park Na-rae received IV drips at a private home or had antidepressants prescribed on her behalf by the so-called "injection auntie," who is not affiliated with a medical institution.
Lee Se-jung, attorney at Lee & Ko, legal representative for Park Na-rae, told the media, "After comprehensively reviewing the relevant materials, the parties' statements and conversations, and text messages, there is nothing legally problematic about Park Na-rae's medical treatment. Because she was unable to visit a hospital due to a busy filming schedule, she requested a house call from the doctor and nurse at the clinic she usually visited and simply received an IV drip, which is a legal medical service widely used by ordinary patients," but verification of the Korean Medical Association Organization's internal database revealed that the person known as the "injection auntie," Mr. Lee, does not hold a domestic medical license, widening the fallout.
The "injection auntie" controversy surrounding Park Na-rae spread to fellow entertainers. In an episode of MBC's I Live Alone aired in December last year, during an episode in which Jung Jae-hyung and Park Na-rae made kimchi together, after the kimchi making was finished Park Na-rae mentioned an IV appointment and Jung Jae-hyung suggested doing it together, drawing renewed attention to that remark.
After the video was made private, allegations about Jung Jae-hyung's connection to the "injection auntie" were raised, but Jung Jae-hyung's side drew a firm line.
