On the 10th episode of the MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star', actor Heo Sung-tae appeared. Heo Sung-tae naturally drew attention as an actor who, like many, started with theater when introducing himself to the public, but in fact he was a chameleon-faced actor discovered on SBS 'Miracle Audition'.
Heo Sung-tae said, "I graduated from Pusan National University with a degree in Russian language and literature, worked at LG Electronics and then came here after watching SBS 'Miracle Audition.'" He said, "Before that I watched the films 'Sunflower' and 'The Man from Nowhere' and was simply someone who liked watching other people act. I thought getting married early and giving my parents grandchildren was filial duty. But then I heard an audition would be held in Busan. So I tried. I was among 15 selected out of 800 people, and I kept advancing from audition to audition," adding that he had a passion for acting and later worked with Choi Min-sik.
Heo Sung-tae said shyly, "My mother scolded me and cried. Amid that I showed her my acting. But she got angry," and "My older brother is 10 years older than me. He got angry at me, saying, 'I want to be a singer too; should I quit my job and become a singer?' Of course now everyone likes that I became an actor."
