The play "Secret Passage" is opening first-round tickets today (the 10th) ahead of its performance on Feb. 13 next year at NOL Theater Daehangno Woori Investment & Securities Hall (medium theater).
The play "Secret Passage" has drawn attention with a six-person casting lineup of actors Yang Kyung-won, Kim Seon-ho, Kim Sung-kyu, Lee Si-hyung, Oh Kyung-joo and Kang Seung-ho, whose names alone raise expectations for the production. It is based on "The meeting room of flaws," the original work by Tomohiro Maekawa, a playwright and director who represents the Japanese theater world and is a winner of the Yomiuri Theater Awards' best director and best play awards. The play "Secret Passage" tells the story of two people who, having lost their memories of life in an unfamiliar space, confront each other and through books filled with intertwined memories deal with life and death, the connections and deaths read in the small gaps between, and the repetition of reviewing life.
Yang Kyung-won, Kim Seon-ho and Kim Sung-kyu play the role of Dong-jae, a man who seems to have been living through familiar times for as long as anyone can remember, while Lee Si-hyung, Oh Kyung-joo and Kang Seung-ho play Seojin, a man who begins firing questions in the strange space. The six actors take on the demanding challenge of multiple roles each, portraying the drama with delicate sharpness and at times humor.
Such a strange yet tender journey across time and space, the play "Secret Passage," will offer warm consolation to people exhausted by relationships and with little room to breathe.
