SBS' The Ballad of Us' presents a 1990s ballad compilation.
At noon on the 10th, the 1990 ballad compilation Our Ballad Best (BEST) 2 will be released on various music streaming sites.
Our Ballad Best repackages songs that were released through broadcasts and music services into album form, aiming to convey more deeply the meaning of the ballad masterpieces reexamined through the program. Earlier, on the 3rd a 1970s–1980s ballad compilation that announced its start was released, properly stirring nostalgia among music fans.
The second best album to be released that day will compactly include 11 superb ballads that defined the 1990s, once again moistening listeners' emotions.
This album features eight participants who received great love for their diverse activities on the program: Minsu-hyun with a warm tone, Kim Jae-jun whose vocal stood out for personality and expressiveness, Kim Yun-yi with a clear and pure emotional vocal, Kwon Mi-na with a powerful yet plaintive voice, Im Ji-sung with a soft tone, Hong Seung-min who possesses solid vocal power, Lee Jun-seok with a pure and淡白 vocal, and Lee Ji-hoon with a calm yet deep emotional vocal.
They reinterpreted 11 masterpieces that have dominated music charts and been loved for a long time with their own charms, including Cho Yong-pil's "I Wish It Were So Now", Kim Min-woo's "Inside the Military Train", Yoon Sang's "Shade of Farewell", Lee Sun-hee's "When I Turn the Pages of Memory", Light and Salt's "Don't Leave My Side", Kang Su-ji's "Scattered Days", Kim Gun-mo's "Beautiful Goodbye", Park Sang-tae's "If You Were Like Me", Kim Hyun-chul's "Why So", Park Sang-min's "One Love", and Weather Report's "If Only You Were Here".
When The Ballad of Us aired, the competition songs released weekly dominated the top ranks of various music charts, proving the program's hot popularity. The first best album released last week also received enthusiastic responses, raising expectations even higher for the newly released songs.
The Ballad of Us Best 2' 1990 ballad compilation will be available to listen to on various music streaming sites from noon on the 10th.
Meanwhile, The Ballad of Us will meet fans across the country through a nationwide tour concert in 2026. Performances will be held at Seongnam Arts Center Opera House in Seongnam on Jan. 10, 2026; EXCO Auditorium in Daegu on Jan. 24; Kyung Hee University Peace Hall in Seoul on Feb. 7 and 8; and KBS Busan Hall in Busan on Feb. 28, and will feature winner Lee Ye-ji along with TOP6 Song Ji-woo, Lee Ji-hoon, Cheon Beom-seok, Choi Eun-bin, Hong Seung-min; semifinalists Kim Yun-yi, Minsu-hyun, Lee Jun-seok, Im Ji-sung, Jeremy, and Jung Ji-woong.
