Veteran film actress Kim Ji-mi (birth name Kim Myeong-ja) has died in the United States. She was 85 years old.
On the 10th, the Korea Federation of Film Workers said, "Actress Kim Ji-mi has passed away in the United States."
Kim Ji-mi debuted in 1957 in director Kim Ki-young's "Twilight Train" and left hundreds of works through the 1990s. Through "land", "Gilsotteum", and others, she worked with masters and won awards such as best actress at the Panama International Film Festival and best actress at the Grand Bell Awards.
The deceased was also active as a production company, founding "Jimi Film" in 1985 and producing seven films.
The Korea Federation of Film Workers is preparing a film industry funeral under the association's auspices. A mortuary has not yet been arranged.<
